Since our trip to Iowa and Minnesota never panned out last August due to Kevin taking out a doe southwest of Richland Center and totaling his motorcycle, but he was a-okay, we made plans to redo that trip this weekend. With the same plans to stay the first night in Richland Center and have dinner with his globe-trotting motorcycle buddy, Kevin E. since he lives there. And then heading to Pikes Peak in Iowa in the morning, and then onto Dad and Candy’s resting place in Preston MN, before heading to La Crosse.
I took that whole day off to do some odds and ends, laundry and packing, while Kevin worked most of his full work-day. However, he let me know he’d be home around 2:30, so I headed out around 1 since it takes me a good hour to get there by taking back roads with the bike. Also, it was a good thing we were not leaving earlier in the day because there were rain showers, but roads were mostly dry when I left.
I arrived only a little bit before him, and he opened the garage for me while I waited.
Today’s trip did not include any stops except for gas and a quick stretch, and we arrived in Richland Center around I think 5ish. Shortly after that, Kevin E. picked us up for dinner and then back to the White House Inn for our night’s stay. Oh, and Kevin E. said when he dropped us off, that he did not want to hear from Kevin Q. relatively soon. Hahaha!
