July 16 Hustisford

Since today was going to be the better day of the weekend weather-wise for riding with the gear on and I was supposed to meet my Sista and the girls for a visit and dinner, we opted to ride today vs. yesterday. Yesterday was a pool day with the higher temps and dew points. We didn’t get going until around noon and with absolutely no planned route or lunch destination. I decided to head south and southwest trying to take as many back roads as possible that were new to us, but of course still had to take some usual highways and county roads as well, in order to get us to Hustisford around 3ish. We stopped at Mullins Drive Up in Fox Lake for lunch. My first time there and the food and service was really good. I will have to go back there for ice-cream some day! Between Juneau and Watertown I stumbled upon Hogsback Road which I had to take, hence there is a Hogsback Road by Holy Hill too. This one wasn’t quite as fun or scenic as the other, but still another road we have never been on before. Nothing really scenic for pictures today, except some old abandoned passenger train cars on the north side of Beaver Dam Lake. I had to turn my tracker off during our visit or my phone might go dead. So I have two maps from today’s ride and Kevin put one together as best he could in its entirety.
