June 24 Pardeeville

We finally were going to have some okay enough weather for some much needed seat time for today. A chance of scattered showers but not too warm and not too windy. I’ll take it! So I planned a ride meandering west and somewhat zig-zagging south before heading towards Hustisford where I was supposed to meet my sista and great niece for dinner. Tom wanted to join us, but couldn’t leave until late morning so we met him at his place and from there we stopped for lunch right away at Tabberts in Rosendale.

Immediately before heading to Tom’s I realized that the not so windy forecast was way off. Instead of winds around 15 mph, they were probably more around 30 mph. Oh happy, happy, joy, joy for me! However, that determined which gear to wear for the day. Certainly not anything vented. So glad I made that choice cause it got down right chilly with all of the clouds that were around at times.

From Tabberts we headed north on Hwy 23 to Olden Road and through Ripon south taking a bunch of county and country roads we haven’t ever been on before. We stopped in Marquette along Lake Puckaway for a stretch and to let some rain to the south of us pass before heading that direction. Tom stayed with us until after Beaver Dam before breaking off to head home when we had to head to Hustisford. Only 175 miles, but enough for someone (like me) who hasn’t ridden much yet this season.
