July 9 Port Washington

It was going to be another pretty nice day. A bit warmer and muggier than yesterday so I wasn’t sure if it should be swim or ride day, but I chose the latter when Kevin mentioned yesterday that he planned to ride today. I didn’t plan on any designated destination. However, Kevin mentioned Port so that is what we went with and ended up just winging it down there trying to take roads we haven’t been on before, but also some of the usuals as well. For lunch we ate at The Patio Bar which isn’t downtown, but on the main drag north of there. After that we meandered down to the harbor and walk out on the breakwaters to the lighthouse. It was my first time seeing the updates to harbor and breakwater walkway since I helped out our Foundations Division with some of the bid documents and pre-qualification last year. So it was very nice to see the outcome! From there we took LL north to D west to I northeast into Sheboygan Falls, then 32 north to J west. From there we went through Glenbeulah and took Hwy 23 back instead of taking more back roads because the rain appeared to be getting closer. Not much for miles today, but I really enjoyed the scenery and weather.
