October 16 Adams County

It appeared that Sunday was going to be the gem of the day for riding this weekend, so I planned a route west and north this time in hopes of finding some good colors. It ended up only being Kevin and I. Although when we left it was wet from the fog and still cloudy, it didn’t take long to find the sun given the route I had chosen. Since we were on KK heading west Kevin reminded me of Callan Road (a/k/a Witch Road) which I had told him earlier in the month I had wanted to check out. Well, they apparently want to deter people from going around there because since the videos they have thrown down loose gravel between the two residents that live on each end of the road, so I decided to skip it and perhaps try it another day with the car. My plan to was to weave around Green Lake and Little Green then eventually hook up on Hwy 82 in Oxford to Cty Z north along the Wisconsin River where I had planned for us to stop for lunch at Dellwood Pavilion. Food was really good and the server very humorous. From there we headed a little north then started heading east back home. There really wasn’t much color yet along the Wisconsin River, and actually most of the best colors were closer to home. Oh well couldn’t beat such a nice day for a ride considering it being Mid-October. Probably not too many left like this one.
