We knew today was going to be an excellent day for riding… sunny, high temps with low humidity/dew points. So I posted on the FB Riding group page to see if there might be some other takers to join us for a planned ride, but nodda. So I didn’t spend any time planning our route until sitting on my bike in my garage while waiting for Kevin to show up. That didn’t take long! I planned taking Hwy 23 to Ripon, then F into Berlin, south on Hwy 73 to Cty A to Cty J into Princeton, then taking Cty D north out of Princeton to Tom’s favorite, Double D back to Hwy 73 into Neshkoro where we stopped for our first break. We took Cty E out of there into Westfield where we planned to try and find a place for lunch. It only took one circle around town before I found the Pioneer Family Restaurant. Good food and service! From there we planned to head west again on Cty E, south on Cty A, Hwy 23, Cty O, Hwy 73, Cty F, Hwy 33, Hwy 22 to Cty B which we took up to Marquette to stop by Puckaway Lake for a break. We took Cty B out of Marquette and a bunch of other county and country roads before ending up back on highway 23 into town. It was a fun day of riding and great weather except for some pesky clouds during a chunk of the ride which made it a little chilly. 223 miles, map below.
