June 12 Freedom Breakfast on the Farm

As usual we planned to hit as many breakfasts on the farm (BOTF) for June Dairy Days with the bikes, if possible. Yesterday was too hot and humid for wearing motorcycle gear so we took the truck, also instead of the car because of the heavy rain the night before making it not very conducive for my little car in a soggy farmers field. However, today was much better weather with temps in the 60-70s and very low dew points. So we planned to take the bikes today and invited Pete & Sue. They joined us but only until the breakfast and then split off from us to head towards New London. We chose the Freedom BOTF (K & T Dairy). By the time we arrived it was right after late church had let out so there was quite the line of vehicles. Lots of clutching, breaking and coasting. One good thing about taking the bikes is they usually give us preferential parking on the road and at this one they did. The line for breakfast was extremely long and by the time we made it to the food you could tell they were rationing with fears of running out of food. They had a petting zoo with goats, more specifically pigmy goats, and babies only ten days old, so I got over the lighter breakfast quickly. However, I could not get over the extremely long line for ice-cream so we ended up leaving. Also because it was so congested. No route planned after leaving there except to head west/northwest. We ended up going through Black Creek, where I guess Pete & Sue stopped for breakfast, and then through New London, working our way southwest then southeast ending up in Oshkosh at Leon’s for our ice-cream. Only 180 miles, but a very nice day with very nice roads.
