June 14 Lake Winnebago

Well we were going to ride to breakfast on the farm yesterday but the weather people certainly did not call it correct. Plus I couldn’t get my bike from the shop until noon. It was foggy, drizzling, and very cool morning and day overall, so we opted for taking the bikes to one today, only to get rained out once again so we did breakfast on the Oasis in town instead. Shortly after noon the sun started to pop out and it warmed up. So we decided to go for a ride. I decided to take us around Lake Winnebago since we didn’t have all day. I also wanted to look for an ice-cream place since it heated up so well by then. I didn’t want to stop at Froggs in Sherwood because it was the first leg of our trip and they don’t have much in the way for inside seating, and Ardy and Ed’s in Oshkosh doesn’t have much of a selection to choose from and I really had a hankering for a waffle cone. Even though we knew they’d be extremely busy, we decided to go to Kelley Country Creamery. And yep they were extremely busy, but it was well worth the wait. Map below.
