February 1st Jays Powersports

After receiving a message from Mark yesterday about a really great priced 2022 brand new CFMoto ADVentura at Jay’s Powersports in Reedsburg, I was able to convince him to take a trip with me today to go look at it. As, I really entrust in his expertise with sport bikes and motorcycles in general. So, I picked him up in Fondy around 8:15 and off we went.

I spent a little bit of time in the early a.m., as I was so excited about it that I couldn’t sleep and was up at 4 a.m., and just kept thinking this is way too good to true. Almost half the price as my current ride was brand new back in 2008, with so many more bells and whistles, and new technology; including the side panniers which can sometimes run around $1k.

I was super stoked about it and I had plenty of money saved with this year being a must for me to get something new. Even though they had four on the showroom floor, at that price, I was worried they might sell on our way there. So, I informed the contact for the ad, Chase, that I would be there today, but would be coming from Sheboygan area, and so it would take me a while to get there and to message me if something may cause me to lose out on one. Looking back, that was kind of funny since they had four and he thought so too, but man, I just really felt in my gut this one was too good to be true!

After Mark asked him a lot of questions about it and checking out after market parts for lowering it, I told him I was sold on it and he proceeded to do up the paperwork. Mind you, though, Mark and I took my car, and I also found out there was the 3% charge for using a credit card, and also forgot to bring my checkbook. However, I was able to put $250 down to hold it for up to two weeks, but our goal is to get back there next weekend (Saturday) with Mark’s truck and enclosed trailer to pick it up.

After that Mark agreed to keep it at his place to do the work on lowering the suspension for me and to also see about someone he knows in Fondy who does upholstery who could hopefully trim the seat down a little as well. I also completely trust Mark’s workmanship, or should I say mechanical skills very much and he did the lowering on the set up of my current ride which I was pleased with.

I don’t know which one of us was more excited about it all he way home. It is such an exceptional deal and couldn’t find any negative reviews on it, except minor nit-picky items from guys who are paid to just test ride motorcycles.

Next weekend and spring can not get here fast enough! Hopefully, I can now make that trip around Lake Superior too.
