Well, as planned, I made a route for Kevin and I to take today which will probably be our last hurrah for the season.
I planned a route south through Eden and Campbellsport with some back roads south of there which we have never been on before, and found a place to eat at Sandpiper Inn on Lake Bernice.
I also chose this route to get us to St Killian Heights Road which crosses over Hwy 28 where you can make out Holy Hill off in the distance on a very clear day. We had a little slip up with the GPS and didn’t connect with that road until right at Hwy 28. We could make out Holy Hill off in the distance, but it was very hazy unlike other days when I take that way to and from work.
From there we tooled west over and through Theresa Marsh, into Theresa, Mayville and Horicon. We continued west out of Horicon on Cty E to Hwy 26 north and then some back roads west and north, eventually connecting with Hwy 68 into Waupun. Where we took Savage Road north to Cty M almost to Pickett, but diverted off onto Triangle Road before connecting onto Cty N heading east to Hwy 45 south back to town.
Made a stop to top off the tank before going home and put it on its stand for winter. Just need to get the Seafoam and run it through the engine. Boo hoo!
