It was going to be perfect weather for riding this weekend with the dew points finally tolerable. I even opted to wear my non-vented jacket since I knew it would be much cooler considering that and pretty breezy as well.
I chose a route to Palmyra just because I have never been that far south in that area on the bike.
The day started out with a calamity of issues. First Kevin’s Sena malfunctioned again after we made a stop at Fuel in West Bend for him to check out riding jackets. We eventually got it to work. After that, when we arrived in Hartford, I noticed my lever for my visor on my helmet was almost off again and not working properly. We stopped in Hartford to mess with both my helmet and Kevin’s Sena. When we left the zipper on my jacket broke. Well at least three calamities were all we had.
We ended up taking some roads around Holy Hill and stopped on the south side for some photos. From there we took a bunch of back roads off and then back onto Hwy 83. We ended up going through Hartland and Delafield before taking county roads to Palmyra.
We stopped in Palmyra at the Main Street Family Restaurant for lunch/breakfast and fixed both my helmet and my jacket. Upon leaving Kevin’s Sena wasn’t working again. After leaving there I shut mine down and on a couple of times and then his worked so that he could hear me.
Since our route was taking us back to Hartford area, I called my sister to see if she could meet us at Scoop Deville for ice-cream. Her, Dave, Val and Vanessa met us there. We had a nice visit and great eats before heading the remainder of the way home. Still not quite 200 miles. Maybe tomorrow?!?!
