It was finally expected to be a perfect day for a motorcycle ride, at least by my standards and liking… high 70s with very low dew points and not super windy. Also I have not been on my bike for over a month since it was at the garage for just over three weeks and then it was super hot and humid. So I was really wanting to get back on it, but not so keen about riding too far by myself without a destination. Kevin put in for a half day and met me at my place around noon. We both needed to eat some lunch and decided to head for Fox Lake to try the new diner there, Karen’s Hip Hop Diner. We arrived there around 12:30 and luckily it wasn’t too busy with one table available outside which is what we wanted since it was such a beautiful day to be outside. Kevin ordered a bacon/cheese chili dog and I had a BLT with cheese curds. The food and service was very good and the cheese curds were excellent!
From there I decided to take Cty P into Pardeeville. Then we dropped south to Wyocena. We intended to stop by Kevin’s folks place outside of Mayville during some point, so we decided to start heading back east after Wyocena. I ended up finding a very nice county road we have never been on, Cty Z. Which took us all of the way just west outside of Beaver Dam.
Not a really long ride, but a pretty good one for me after not being on the bike for over a month, 148 miles.
