April 2018 Washington PA & WV

I was scheduled for a trip to visit our Washington PA facility and with hopes to get out to one of their projects too. It was overcast when I arrived into Pittsburgh and probably in the 50-60s. I saw some pretty cool scenery on my drive from there to Washington. Amazing how they stack the housing and town homes all along the ridges of the foothills there. Some people have quite great views!

Sometime overnight it started to rain and it was forecasted to continue all of the way through Tuesday into Wednesday, and it did. At least everything there was already green, unlike back home; including the magnolia and other trees were in full bloom.

My second day at the facility I was told that the GM there would be taking me to their project in West Virginia. Luckily, most of the afternoon it was overcast with a little mist and light rain. However, we never planned to get out of the truck. I only did at one point to snap some pics of the lines they were working on. Very impressive what they do in that type of terrain. I cannot post those pictures, but I was able to get a lot of scenery pics. However, something always seems to get lost in a photo. Doesn’t quite capture just how high up we were at times.

A couple of excellent local restaurants I ate at while I was there:

Angelo’s & Union Grill
